The analysis by Amarji that even the possibility that the current Syrian regime might survive this crisis isnot necessarily a bad outcome by itself is an excellent and an original insight. I am of the opinion that the regime will never be able to survive because it gas been mortally wounded but I can see that a wounded regime is a weakened one and thus a positive for those who cherish liberty and freedom. The regime might not fall immediately but it is setting itself up for a fall anyway. It is as good as gone.
